1. Control temperature

Because the best temperature in the pregnant sow house is 20-25°C; the same is true for the lactating sow house, it is best to control it at around 22°C, if the temperature rises to 28°C, or even above 28°C, sometimes it may reach 32°C, the pigs will have problems more or less. Sometimes it may be found that not all pigs have issues, but only one or two have problems. Don’t ignore the problem because the number of pigs is small, because the resistance of each pig is different, heat resistance is also different.

What measures should we take to control the temperature of the pig house:

The heat insulation of the pig house, general rural farmers, the heat insulation effect of the pig house is relatively poor, and most of them are open pig houses, the temperature of the pig house is difficult to control, so the open pig house can build a pergola; at the same time we It is also possible to plant some vine vegetation in the pig farm, such as creepers and loofah vines on the wall to keep the pig house warm and insulated; during the day, when it is cooler, open the doors and windows for ventilation, spray water to cool down, including roof cooling, Indoor cooling, you can also sprinkle water vapor on the pigs, which can also speed up the heat dissipation of the pigs, and properly cool the pigs;

2. Strengthen the feeding management of pigs

In midsummer, the feed formula needs to be adjusted, the energy feed in the ration should be reduced, protein feed such as soybean meal can be increased, the protein level should be increased accordingly, and green feed rich in vitamins and minerals should be fed. At the same time, we also need to adjust the feeding time. Pigs The optimum temperature for growth is 15-23°C. If the temperature is higher than 25-30°C, the appetite and feed intake of pigs will be affected and reduced. Therefore, the feeding time should be selected at a time with a slightly lower temperature, such as morning or evening. Ensuring that pigs can drink enough water in summer and ensuring sufficient cool drinking water is one of the effective heatstroke prevention measures, which is conducive to cooling pigs and promoting feed intake. On the one hand, it can ensure the water needs for evaporation and heat dissipation; Raising the temperature in the tunnel can also cool the body. When automatic drinking fountains are used again, the sinks should be cleaned frequently, and the water should be changed frequently to keep the drinking water clean and hygienic.

Strengthen the management of breeding pigs. The most direct impact of high temperature on breeding pigs is the decrease of libido and delay of estrus. Therefore, measures should be taken from various aspects to improve the health level and reproductive performance of breeding pigs. Feed intake of breeding pigs decreases in summer, so it is necessary to increase nutrient concentration to ensure the nutritional needs of breeding pigs under feeding conditions and try to avoid feeding, exercising, and mating pigs when the temperature is the highest in the day.

3. Sanitation and disinfection

There are many mosquitoes in summer, so it is necessary to do a good job of sanitation and cleaning to avoid the spread of diseases by mosquitoes. Therefore, farmers must do a good job of disinfection in summer, which should be controlled in the morning and evening, because the temperature is high at noon, and the disinfectant evaporates too quickly, which is irritating to the respiratory tract of pigs. Doing a good job of disinfection can cut off the spread of the disease.

Attention should be paid when disinfecting: the pig house is too humid, do not disinfect, the effect will be better after the pig house is dry; it is not recommended to use the two disinfectants together, so as not to increase the toxicity or weaken the disinfection effect, one disinfectant should be used alone for a few days Then use another disinfectant;
